High Storrs School

The Migration Matters Festival is taking place in Sheffield this month (from 19th to 27th June). This is a 9-day celebration that brings together communities through music, art, performance and food.

As part of the festival, our ex-student, Miriam, will be hosting an event called Khalida Popal In Conversation.

Here, the co-founder of the Afghanistan women's national football team, Khalida Popal, will sit down with Miriam to share her incredible story.

Through this app, we will share information related to attendance, detentions, commendations, behaviour points, school timetables, and exam timetables. Absences and snow closures, as well as summer term trackers for Y7, Y8, Y9 and Y12, will also shared via the Arbor app.

Next week is our Y6 Transition Day!

We can't wait to welcome our Y6 students, who will be joining our school in September.

Year 6 students should arrive to school by 9:30am, and Y6 Parents Evening will take place from 5pm - 6:45pm.

Students in Y7-Y10 should arrive to school at 9:30am on the day.

Last week was PE Careers Week! Students looked at careers in sport, with many pupils engaging in a careers in sport treasure hunt.

Well done Year 12 for a great start to your mock exam week!

Y6 Transition Day - Wednesday 24th June 2026

We are really looking forward to welcoming Y6s who will be joining us in September on Wednesday 24th June. Y6s should arrive to school by 8:30am. The Y6 Parents' Evening is on the same day at 5pm.

Don’t forget a late start (9.30am) for current Y7-10 on that day to allow for Y6s to be dropped off!
