Working with the Trekco team running GCSE climbing for a great bunch of Young adults. They were really keen and progressed so much over 3 days . We climbed at the Roaches and Harborough.

Great to be back out on b2b DofE gold training and expeditions in and around Langdale. Working for The Trekking company with the same 3 schools. I think its 15 years on the bounce I've worked this trip with the same team. Great kids as always.

Great weeks dinghy sailing in Greece with Seafarer, our 3rd visit. Its been 8 years since I was last there. Lots of spinnaker sailing and trapezeing, I've not lost the bug or the thrills of dinghy sailing.
Top place with a real family like social scene.
Sailed lasers, 2ks, hobbies, kayaks.

Even won the 3 race regatta. Great memories once again.

This post goes out to all those who have done my Navigation course on Bleaklow, one of the check points was a ring Contour. There was a small pond near the location and the discussion was always is it an upper ring Contour or a downie ring Contour. Normally you can't tell just by looking at the map except this one is an index Contour so must be an uppie.😄
On the latest digital upload they have added the pond and the fence line.

Early start to catch the Sunrise on Margery hill. No wind, clear skies and so still. Got to MH 2 mins before sunrise. Spectacular! Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Barnsley, Wakefield and Sheffield all covered by thick fog.
Too nice to descend so went to outeredge via the wreck site and direct line back via the rare Tea Plant and V1 bomb crater.

Cracking mornings walk, cloud inversion over Sheffield from Emlin trg. Ewden res without a ripple and a coffee outside at Strines.

Desperately sad news today. A great man died last night. He was my inspiration as a teenager to run in the hills.
Not many people meet the heros, I did, I shared a beer, ran with him, raced against him, a true quiet giant of our sport.
