Business & IT Students Take on the Team-Building Challenge!

30 new Year 1 Business and IT students enjoyed a fantastic team-building day at Manvers Lake, putting their communication, leadership, creativity and problem-solving skills to the test!

From building the tallest spaghetti and marshmallow towers to taking on the Blind Artist challenge, paper aeroplane competitions and a competitive scavenger hunt, the day was packed with teamwork, laughter and plenty of friendly competition! 🏆✈️. They finished with a relaxing 2km walk around Manvers Lake, giving everyone the opportunity to chat, build friendships and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 🍂

👏 A huge well done to all our students, who showed fantastic enthusiasm, determination and team spirit throughout the day. You were a real credit to yourselves and the Business, Law and Digital team!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Chief Executive Officer, Mike Westerdale, following a courageous and brave battle with cancer.

We know that this devastating news will be felt deeply amongst everyone across our Trust and within the wider community.

Our immediate priority is to respect the privacy of Mike’s family and support our colleagues and school communities during this time of grief.

Since being appointed CEO of Brigantia Learning Trust in 2018, Mike has made a significant contribution to the development and success of our academies, and to the lives of the pupils, staff and communities we serve. We are united in our commitment to uphold these achievements and build on this legacy.

Mike will be deeply missed as a colleague, leader and friend.

💻 Back in the zone for Year 2 T level Digital students 🔐

Our T Level Digital Support & Services students are getting stuck straight back into their learning, making great use of our whiteboard tables to capture and develop their Cyber Security theory.

It’s fantastic to see the room buzzing with ideas, discussion and teamwork as they build the knowledge and technical skills they’ll need for their future careers. 💡🖥️

🎉 Celebrating another year of outstanding achievement at Longley Park! 🎉

We’ve been incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our students following the release of their A Level, vocational and technical qualification results.

With an amazing 99% pass rate and 60% of students achieving high grades, there was so much to celebrate. 🌟

Even more impressively, 138 students achieved the highest grades across their entire set of qualifications. 👏

These results are a reflection of the resilience, determination and ambition our students showed throughout their time with us — and we couldn’t be prouder of every one of them.

For parents of students joining us, these achievements are a wonderful example of what your young person can aspire to during their time at Longley Park. 💙

Our students are now taking their next steps, including university, apprenticeships and employment, and we wish them every success for the future.
