โจ Our Year 1 T Level Education and Early Years students had a fabulous time visiting the Steel Cauldron in Sheffield! โจ
The students discovered how the Steel Cauldron supports local families and children through a variety of activities and groups within the community.
They also got hands-on experience taking part in crafts and activities that are delivered with children. These creative ideas can now be taken into their industry placements and used to support children's learning and development.
We were incredibly proud to see the students working so well together, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, collaboration, and support for one another throughout the day.
Most importantly, everyone had lots of fun while learning valuable skills and gaining new ideas for their future careers!
Thank you to the Steel Cauldron for such a wonderful experience. ๐

Water Safety Reminder for Families This Summer
As temperatures rise and more people spend time outdoors, we would like to remind families about the dangers of swimming in open water.
Recent tragedies across the UK have highlighted how quickly situations can become dangerous in rivers, lakes, reservoirs, canals, and other unsupervised bodies of water. While open water may appear inviting during hot weather, hidden risks can have devastating consequences.
Potential dangers include:
Cold water shock
Strong currents
Hidden obstacles beneath the surface
Sudden changes in depth
We encourage all young people and families to follow this important safety advice:
โ
Swim only in designated safe areas
โ
Stay with friends and never swim alone
โ
Look out for each other
โ
Call 999 in an emergency
โ Do not take risks for dares, challenges, or social media content
โ Do not assume warm weather means the water is safe
Please take a moment to discuss these important messages with your children and help them make safe choices around water this summer.
For further advice and information, please read the water safety letter from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service available on our website.https://ow.ly/YoyJ50Z707p
Enjoy the sunshine, stay safe, and make sure everyone gets home.
