This time next week, our new cohort will have started their teacher training journey...and we can't wait to welcome them! 🎉

Before they step into the classroom, we're sharing a few more words of wisdom from our previous trainees.

Over the last few weeks, we've been sharing some of the experiences from our recent Flying Start event. As part of the event, trainees spent a day in their placement school, giving them the opportunity to meet staff, get to know the school and feel more prepared before training begins.

As our new cohort gets ready to begin their teacher training journey later this month. We wanted to share some words of wisdom from those who have been in their shoes.

Below are some top tips from previous trainees to help our new cohort, feel confident, prepared and ready for the exciting months ahead!

It was fantastic to meet all of our new trainees at our recent Flying Start event.

The event gave trainees an introduction to what they can expect from their teacher training year, and they had the opportunity to spend a day in their placement school before they begin.

With just a few weeks to go until training starts, we can't wait to welcome them back and see them begin their teaching journey.

As our Flying Start event comes to an end, we would like to say what a pleasure it's been to spend the last few days with our new trainee teachers.

Today, we reflected on everyone's first experience in their placement schools, looked at the wellbeing support available throughout the year, and introduced the programme and resources that will be there to support them every step of the way.

We have been so impressed by the positivity, enthusiasm and genuine excitement this cohort has brought. Seeing everyone asking thoughtful questions, getting involved and supporting one another has been wonderful.

Thank you to all of our trainees for making these first few days such a positive start. We look forward to welcoming you all back in August and can't wait to see everything you'll achieve over the coming year!

Welcome to the start of an exciting journey! It's been fantastic to welcome our new trainees to our Flying Start event today.

It was wonderful to bring everyone together for the first time and begin getting to know each other. Throughout the day, we covered what to expect over the coming year, how learning happens, lesson planning, making the most of feedback, safeguarding, and practical tips to help trainees feel ready to start in August.

The highlight has been the enthusiasm, curiosity and eagerness to learn shown by everyone in the room. It's inspiring to see so many trainees asking thoughtful questions and getting involved in the discussions.

Tomorrow, our trainees will spend their first day in their placement schools, giving them an early opportunity to meet colleagues and experience school life. They will then join us again on Friday for another Flying Start training day as they continue preparing for the year ahead.

We're delighted to be supporting this new cohort as they take their first steps into teaching, and we can't wait to welcome them back in August to start their training. 😊
