Stringency in CPD requirements
A good mix of can be achieved by attending a reasonable number of and sessions.
According to , there are indications that accreditations schemes will be tightening up their CPD. must demonstrate suitable and . -guided learning will likely be and there will be a requirement for attendance at sessions.
it is also likely CPD will need to be relevant to the strand you are attaching it to.
The emphasis on improving CPD is specifically referenced in the government's action plan, which emphasises that the accreditation schemes must ‘… improve the training and strengthen the continuous professional development evidence requirements for energy assessors’. Improvements in CPD will result in improvements in passes which looks better for the accreditation schemes as they are audited by the government.
The government may also ‘consider the option of amending the (NOS) for energy assessors’. This is currently being argued against by the accreditation schemes and it is better to pursue good quality CPD rather than face an extra qualification each time there is a significant software update.
