• Develop children’s social and emotional wellbeing. Minibugs Nurseries provide a stimulating and nurturing early years childcare service to children aged three months to five years old. Our fully qualified and experienced Minibugs staff and play leaders will provide your child with a motivating and challenging curriculum which will enable them to progress and develop into curious and engaged little learners.

🎃 PUMPKINS 🎃

The children in preschool thoroughly enjoyed exploring a pumpkin through a hands-on sensory and creative experience. They worked together to scoop out the pumpkin, exploring the seeds, flesh and different textures inside. This encouraged their curiosity as they used their senses to investigate the pumpkin, describing how it felt, looked and smelled. The activity supported the development of their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and physical control as they scooped and handled the pumpkin. The children then used their imagination and creativity to decorate their pumpkins, making individual choices about colours, patterns and designs. This experience also encouraged communication, cooperation, confidence and independence, while providing an exciting opportunity to learn about seasonal changes and autumn traditions.

HARVEST FESTIVAL 🥕🥔

This morning in the twos room the children have enjoyed independently chopping up there own vegetables for vegetable soup. We spoke about which vegetables we liked and didn't like, different textures, turn taking and incorporated counting as well as healthy foods.

The children were excited to take part in helping our cook Andy prepare and chop the vegetables in preparation for our tea and harvest festival🥕🥔
This hands-on experience provided a wonderful opportunity for them to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration as they carefully handled and prepared the vegetables. They showed curiosity as they were talking about the different colours, shapes, textures they discovered along the way.
Working alongside our cook also encouraged the children to develop their independence, confidence and sense of responsibility, while learning the importance of teamwork, cooperation and helping others. The experience also supported their understanding of healthy eating and food preparation, making it a fun and meaningful learning opportunity for our older children! .😁

Today in the 2’s room, we have been developing our mathematical skills through a fun and engaging number-matching activity using our colourful magnets. Throughout the activity, the children were encouraged to use their communication and language skills to talk about what they were doing. They confidently shared their ideas, named numbers and colours, and explained their choices to the adults and their friends. This provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to build their vocabulary, develop their confidence in speaking, and practise listening and responding to others.
