Today we officially say 'adieu' to the Critical Design Review!
Apologies for the lack of updates over the last couple of weeks. During that time, some of the team members have been working tirelessly to write and perfect the CDR so that it was ready for submission. Upon submission, we wish to thank all of those who have contributed towards it's completion.
Some of the airframe team have also been working on getting their components manufactured. The last fortnight has seen the cutting of the wing ribs, the manufacture of the updated fuselage and the landing gear being sent to be machined.
The avionics team have also been working hard on their parts too, including working on the coding for the the image recognition system and conducting weight tests upon the payload release mechanism. They've even compiled a video of their bespoke test bed - Something that's definitely worth a look if you've not seen it already!
As always, stay tuned for more updates on the progression of our UAS!

What to do with all that plywood waste... 🤔
Here’s what we did! Our keyrings are laser cut from scrap plywood that’s been used during the development and prototype phases of the project.
The result: sustainable freebies to give away at outreach events! 👍🏻
