Kingswood Day Nursery

Here at Kingswood we are proud of the diversity of the community we serve, & of all the different languages that are spoken within our setting.
Children enjoy learning words & phrases in different languages, learning about different countries, religions & festivals.
This month we are focusing on GERMAN.
If you speak German & are able to share any stories, music, newspapers, fabrics, clothing, currency or pictures to further enrich our environment, they would be gratefully received. In addition, if you have any information about your language, or your family’s heritage that you’d like to share, please speak to one of the team; we would love to pass this on within the setting.

Thank you in advance.

Last week we went on a big adventure! Preschool decided to go on a lion hunt.🦁We hopped on a bus into town and looked out the window to see how many lions we could see. After, we got on another bus, to Crystal Peaks, to visit our very own Early Years Care cub which we raised money for as a company in aid of the Sheffield Children's hospital. Preschool was ready for some lunch, after our journey, so we headed over to one of our sister branches (Peaks Edge Day Nursery). While having some delicious pasta, we made lots of new friends that kindly welcomed us and shared all their toys! As we headed back to Kingswood we spoke about our favourite parts of the day and which one of the 26 lions, that we saw, we liked the best:

"I love making new friends, can we go back again?"
"I like the bus"

"I can see so many lions, this is fun"
"That one looks like a cow! I like this one"

We would like to say a big thank you to Peaks Edge Day Nursery for being so kind and welcoming to us all!💜

Last week, preschool harvested their first potatoes! We had so much fun digging and hunting through the messy soil. Today we got to eat our own home grown, delicious potatoes with our fish or veggie fingers and green beans!🌦🍽
