Parent/Carers - I hope that you are all staying well in the heat. Please can you all make sure you are checking eylog communication and emails for all updates for this week. Thank you and hopefully enjoy the sunshine! :-)

At the end of last week the toddlers enjoyed releasing their butterflies. We carefully took them out of the net and admired what they looked like. We then watched and waited until they flew off into the garden. We have loved watching them grow!🐛

Here at Kingswood we are proud of the diversity of the community we serve, & of all the different languages that are spoken within our setting.
Children enjoy learning words & phrases in different languages, learning about different countries, religions & festivals.
This month we are focusing on AFRIKAANS.
If you speak Afrikaans & are able to share any stories, music, newspapers, fabrics, clothing, currency or pictures to further enrich our environment, they would be gratefully received. In addition, if you have any information about your language, or your family’s heritage that you’d like to share, please speak to one of the team; we would love to pass this on within the setting.

The Toddler's have loved welcoming our caterpillars into nursery this week. We have been taking a look at them and discussing their life cycle. A little later on we read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', which got us thinking about what the next step of their life cycle is going to be. We are so excited to watch them grow!
