🙌 What a final day! 🙌

Yesterday was our final day at the incredible Bendrigg, and what an amazing day it has been! 🤩

Our wonderful pupils soared through the sky on the zip wire, conquered the climbing wall and wrapped up the evening with a magical night walk, with a visit to the gift shop. 🩷

We have made so many memories at this most magical of places, a big thank you to all involved who have made it possible.

That's right, in just 3 days the TCS London Marathon will be back, thousands of runners will make the journey and be pounding the pavement for some amazing causes.....including our very own Witney Thompson! 🤩

Witney is taking on her first marathon and she's certainly picked a fantastic one to tackle, whilst also raising money for the life changing work here at Paces! 🩷

🤩 Another Fabulous Day at Bendrigg! 🤩

We kicked off day 2 with a ride on a very special swing - flying high and loving every second of it! Then it was time to hop into our canoes. 🛶

We sipped hot chocolate from the floating bar and splashed around with ball games, we even managed to see a heron and a curlew before finishing the day with a fun orienteering adventure. 🧭

So many smiles and memories. We can’t wait to see what day 3 brings! 💖

🐥 An Egg-stra Special Day 🐥

While we may have settled back in after the Easter break we couldn't help but share the results of our Easter egg competition!

Ultimately Edinburgh class came out on top and were crowned the champions, but look how creative the classes have all been! 🤩

An egg-cellent effort from everyone and we had such good fun 🙌

A great first day was had at Bendrigg yesterday 💖

Wentworth had a lovely walk, explored the grounds and took in the beautiful sights and smells of the blooming bluebells.🪻

They then had a seat fitting for their very exciting canoe adventures today, enjoyed the sensory room and tried out archery. 🏹

We can't wait to see more from day 2! 🤩

🕺 The Danceathon Is Back 🕺

That's right, enough time has now passed and we've all forgotten how we felt 16 hours into last years event, so we thought we would do it all again! 🤩

On the 23rd May at 10am the boogie will begin, and it will not stop for 24 hours! 👯‍♂️

Last year we raised an incredible £5000 towards the life-changing work that goes on here every single day, this year we would absolutely love to smash that. 💕

🐰🍫 Eggs-traordinary Support 🍫🐰

Every year the wonderful team at Sharp Consultancy visits our Adult Services with Easter Eggs Galore and this year is no different! 🤩

We would like to say an Egg-stra special thank you to Tom Davage, Adam Thomas & all who donated to support the cause resulting in over 150 Easter Eggs for our children and adults here at Paces 🤩

There were smiles all round, we just hope the eggs make it to Easter! 🐣

🎾 Paces Play Padel 🎾

That's right, tomorrow we will be stepping into the world of Padel and hosting some of our fabulous supporters at Play Padel Sheffield in the process. 🤩

If you would like to come along, learn a little more about Paces, Padel and Club 300 then we still have a couple of places available, here are the details:

🦘🏃Going Above & Beyond Down Under 🏃🦘

For years now, Dale Jordan and the whole Thurgoland School have been supporting Paces in so many ways!

From our Flags of Everest campaign to hosting in school activities, not forgetting 2023 when Dale ran a minimum of 5k every single day for the whole year! 🤯

Throw in a couple of half marathons, 10ks, fun days and now here we are, with Dales biggest race yet approaching………on the other side of the planet! 🌏

Not to do things by halves, Dale will be tackling the Sydney Marathon in August and all the money he raises will be supporting the life-changing work that goes on here at Paces! 💕

Dale said:

For nearly 40 years, I have dreamed of running a major marathon. This year, to mark my 40th, I am excited to announce that I will be travelling to the other side of the world, down under, to participate in the Sydney Marathon.

Running the Sydney Marathon will be a huge personal milestone but it is also an opportunity to make a difference as I have chosen to dedicate this run to supporting a charity close to my heart, Paces Charity.

I am pushing on now to achieve my personal goal but at the same time it would be wonderful if I could raise funds for Paces to make a difference to support others achieve their goals.

The fundraising team had the pleasure of visiting the Sheffield Eagles at yesterday's Mother's Day Game versus Oldham! 😄

Now while the result may not have gone the way we hoped it was fantastic to be out in the sunshine speaking with so many people about who we are and what we do during National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month! 💚🩷
