This month's Nurtured @ Middlewood's Employee of the Month, as voted for by our wonderful parents, is... Blake! 🎉

Blake received some truly heartwarming nominations from our families. They spoke of his kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine care for every child. Parents shared how much their children look forward to seeing Blake at nursery and how much they appreciate the detailed updates he provides at the end of each day, giving them reassurance and peace of mind.

At our first ever Nurtured@Middlewood awards, our amazing team received some incredible recognition all voted for by colleagues parents and children! but one thing that really stood out was the success of two fantastic members of our nursery family – Blake and Lukasz, who together took home an incredible 7 awards! 🏆👏

Their achievements are a wonderful reminder of something we feel passionate about every day – the importance of men in Early Years education.

Children benefit enormously from seeing positive male role models who nurture, inspire, play, teach and care. Blake and Lukasz bring energy, creativity, kindness and dedication to our nursery every single day, showing that Early Years is a career where everyone can make an incredible difference, regardless of gender.

Congratulations Blake and Lukasz – you've made us all incredibly proud and thank you for helping to champion the vital role that men play in shaping the next generation. 🌟

On Saturday, some of our team celebrated in style at the LSC & Nurtured Awards 2026! 🎉

Today we said a very special "see you soon" to our wonderful Deputy Manager Angel, as she begins her maternity leave before welcoming her beautiful baby boy. 💙👶

This afternoon, the staff and children had the loveliest time celebrating with a special baby shower filled with smiles, laughter and lots of excitement. It was such a lovely way for everyone to wish her well before she starts her next big adventure. 🧸💐

From all of the children, families and staff, we wish you a relaxing maternity leave, a safe arrival for your little boy, and lots of precious cuddles and memories. We can't wait to meet him when you're ready to visit! 💙

A huge congratulations to Nic, one of our wonderful Early Years Educators for reaching an incredible 4-year anniversary with us! Over the past four years, you’ve shown dedication, kindness, and passion in everything you do. Your commitment to supporting the children, families, and your colleagues makes such a meaningful difference every single day.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re also thrilled to celebrate Nic being voted Employee of the Month, by her colleagues! 🌟 This recognition is so well deserved and reflects the positive energy, hard work, and care Nic brings into the nursery, Nic is so creative and an absolute dab hand at upcycling everyday items into something new and exciting for the children to explore!!

Thank you for everything you do Nic – your enthusiasm, patience, and warm smile never go unnoticed. We are so lucky to have you as part of our team!

What a WILD and wonderful time we had celebrating the Gruffalo’s birthday! 🎉🌲✨

From the moment the party started, it was non-stop fun - dance parties with everyone stomping and twirling like creatures of the deep dark wood, we made birthday cards, masks, Owl Ice Cream Sticky Pictures and so much more!

And the food… oh my goodness 😄 we fully embraced the Gruffalo menu—tucking into scrambled snake and Gruffalo Crumble with the tastiest owl ice cream for lunch (surprisingly delicious! 🐍🍦🦉).

It was a day packed with imagination, adventure, and just the right amount of mischief. We loved every second and made memories we’ll be talking about for a long time! 🌟💚
