Last week Inspec Solutions were really happy to host the Yorkshire Regional Board Meeting for MakeUK at our Sheffield design offices.

Around 20 people attended for companies as diverse as Olympus Corporation, Magnomatics Limited, Heras, Iceotope Technologies Limited and TRANS-TRONIC LIMITED.

The meeting followed a great visit to our friendly next-door neighbour Gripple Limited, at their Norfolk Bridge Works.

Inde. 23A Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS) successfully acceptance tested and shipped as part of Perenco's Southern Hub Rationalisation Project (SHARP) in the North Sea.

The ICSS is made up of Process Control, Fire & Gas, Metering and Emergency Shutdown/Safety instrumented Systems.

Inde. 23A ICSS Successfully Acceptance Tested and shipped – Inspec Solutions Inspec Solutions Ltd have successfully designed, built, tested and shipped a new Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS) for the Indefatigable (Inde.) North Sea gas field as part of Perenco’s Southern Hub Asset Rationalisation Project (SHARP).

Inspec Solutions are proud to be a key collaborator with The University of Sheffield in this research.
Our software technology team worked closely with UoS academics to design and develop the vision tracking software system, and then integrate the output of that via OPC UA to the DT.
Inspec also specified and integrated the cameras into the system with our systems integration skills gained from decades of experience in industry.
This research demonstrates a novel proof of concept Industry4.0 production system which lays the foundations for future research in Digital Twin (DT) technologies, process optimisation and manufacturing data analytics.
