We have had lots of fun playing in our shady garden. We have been doing all about the seaside and holidays. We had a foamy ice real fun in the garden and lots of water play, with buckets and spades! Beauchief Pre-School

Last week we spent lots of time in our lovely shady garden!

We did all about the people who help us. We had dressing up and the doctors kits out. We had the baby play out where the children could participate in role play. In the small world area we had the fire engines out and at group time we talked all about the people who help us. We also had superhero play sets out which they really enjoyed using their imagination with. We made cards for the special grown ups! Beauchief Pre-School

Last week we did all about ‘under the sea’. We learned all about sea creatures! The children could play with sea creatures in the water area and investigate shells and sea life in our exploration tray. They had opportunities to make jelly fish and sea pictures in the craft area. They were able to develop fine motor skills with the fishing game and inset jigsaw. Little hands developed strength play playing with the play dough with shells and sea cutters. Sea life shapes were available to draw around in the mark making area. We had lots of sea adventure stories including Commotion in the Ocean story sack which they really enjoyed! This week we learned all about dinosaurs! We made a volcano and took it turns to make it erupt. The children learned new words such as erupt, lava and volcano. They made dinosaur foot prints in the craft area. We had lots of dinosaur small world play and used fine motor skills to get dinosaurs skeletons and bones out of ice! What a busy week!
