What a fantastic World Book Day we've had here at Athelstan. Thank you so much to everyone involved, including parents for your amazing support with costumes and time in our reading cafe.

Mrs Ashton received a lovely email from a member of the public yesterday, after a lady and her daughter had read one of our books in the ASDA cafe 😀

'We sat reading one of your delightful books. My daughter was laughing all the way through it, she found it so funny.
It was beautifully written. We were amazed by the standard of literacy for the young age. The author should be very proud."

A third episode the BBC Show 'I can do it, you can too'. Great to see Erin, another Athelstan TV Superstar! Well done Erin👏👏

I Can Do It, You Can Too - Series 2: 29. Double Double Clapping Game and Yo-yo Jake learns the words and moves to a clapping game with Erin, while Isaac gives yo-yoing a go with coach Anyema.

The TV Oscars continue with two more superstars on the BBC 'I can do it, You can too'. Well done Jameel and Luogen - you were both amazing.

I Can Do It, You Can Too - Series 2: 34. Two-Wheeled Scooter and Paper Plane Cece learns to ride a two-wheeled scooter, while Jameel wants to make and throw a paper plane.

Great to see two Athelstan TV Superstars on the BBC Show 'I can do it, you can too'. A huge well done to Robyn and Minahil from Y3.

I Can Do It, You Can Too - Series 2: 28. Hula Hoop on Arm and Star Float Jude learns to spin a hula hoop around his arm, and Cora practises a star float in the pool with coach Minahil.

Louie has been impressing Mr Bentley and Mrs Ashton with the artwork he has produced at home. Well done 😀

We’re getting ready for Young Voices 2025!!!!

Y3 have loved working with Chatsworth yesterday and meeting 2 extra special, fluffy visitors.

Y3 are really grateful to Alfie for agreeing to referee our football at lunchtime. He's doing a great job ⚽️

Freya has worked really hard at her trampolining lessons this weekend and has earned star of the week.
