Congratulations to the young violinists and pianists from Years 2 to 6 at who performed two concerts today to KS1 then KS2. You were all brilliant!
There were 40 musicians on the stage today playing music from all genres.
Thanks also to the two Year 11 students who performed Elgar's Ni**od and the jazz standard Autumn Leaves to the children. You are both incredible musicians and inspirational to the young children.

As a music teacher, no two days are ever the same. Some are frustrating because the students haven't practiced, some are fun, some are challenging and some are inspiring. Today was one of those days with most of my students showing significant improvement. Special mention to a group of primary school children who learnt two new pieces in 20 minutes, and to one young man who sight-read Fiocco's Allegro almost perfectly, apart from some missing slurs!
