The SCITT is owned and operated by Notre Dame High School as part of its role as a National Teaching School leading the Hallam Teaching School Alliance. The SCITT provides Teacher Training for top graduates working in partnership with many of the best schools in Sheffield and South Yorkshire who all invest in School Based training with the aim of recruiting their own newly qualified teachers from the SCITT. It is the ideal route to employment at some of Sheffield's best schools to work in. Our training, delivered by serving outstanding teachers is grounded in what it takes to succeed in profession today.

Already working in a school as an unqualified teacher or HLTA?

You may be able to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through our Assessment Only route. This pathway recognises your existing classroom experience and provides an opportunity to achieve QTS without completing a full teacher training programme.
