Our Year 9 girls had a fantastic day at the This Girl Can event today!

The morning was packed with exciting activities, including wheelchair basketball, weightlifting, a glow rave, boxing and ice skating, before finishing the day with a vibrant and energetic Colour Dash.

It was wonderful to see the girls stepping out of their comfort zones, trying new activities, supporting one another and having some well-deserved fun. A brilliant day full of confidence, teamwork and smiles all round!

OPEN EVENING DATE - THURSDAY 1 OCTOBER 5-7PM

We are pleased to confirm the date of our open evening for families considering secondary schools for 2027 and 2028 entry.

The event will be held in school on Thursday 1 October from 5-7pm.

All welcome to come along - there is no need to register.

Well done to our Year 7 athletics team who took part in the Year 7 Qualification Event this evening.

We saw some fantastic performances across the track and field, with great running in the 100m, 200m and 600m events, alongside some excellent efforts in the shot put and howler throw.

All of our athletes represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The top 16 finishers in each event will qualify for the City Finals next month. We wish all of our athletes the very best and look forward to hearing the final qualification results. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏅

Y10 GCSE Music students have been taking part in the 'We Compose' project:

Over the past few months the students have been to see musicians from 'Music in the Round' perform pieces written for a clarinet quintet at the Crucible Theatre.

They have then worked with professional composer Martin Berger to develop their own compositions. The final event was an amazing opportunity for students to hear their own work performed live by the ensemble and to work with the musicians to develop their pieces. 🎼

We are delighted to announce that, Year 11 pupil, Ryan has been selected to represent South Yorkshire at the English Schools Athletics Championships next month.
This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to Ryan’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to his sport. We are incredibly proud of all that he has accomplished and wish him every success as he competes on this prestigious stage.
