This week, we introduce Athena House and Miss King 🟦:

"In Greek mythology, Athena is most famously known as the goddess of wisdom.

However, there is much more to Athena than her wisdom and intelligence.

Did you know Athena is also the Greek goddess of justice, courage and protection?

Athena embodies many of our school values.

Athena has shown:

🟦 Consideration by constantly supporting Odysseus and showing him compassion on his gruelling voyage.

🟦 Commitment by gifting the city of Athens an olive tree. This was not an instant reward for the Athenians, but it became prosperous and valuable over time.

🟦 Curiosity by being born straight from Zeus’ brain as a fully formed and armed goddess, ready to explore the world.

As I spoke about in assembly, I want pupils to go forward and really strive to demonstrate our school values as Athena did.

I know this isn’t always easy, but I know you can all be wonderfully kind and hardworking pupils. I will champion you all the way.

I can’t wait to see what you all achieve this year.

Now let’s work hard to get Athena to the top of the leaderboard!"
