Reminder: Applications for the BMSSoc committee 26/27 are open!

We still need applications for most roles, including all of the core roles. Without these roles the society can not run next year.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to get more involved and it looks great on applications and your cv!

As promised, here’s the timeline for how to apply for roles on our committee next year.

We will share a Google form on Monday which you can use to apply to the committee roles. It’s a great way to better integrate yourself into the society and of course, it can look great on your applications.

On the form you will be asked to submit a poster which should include the role you want to apply for, why you’d suit the role, your experience and any ideas you’d bring to the role/committee in general. If you are applying to more than one role you’ll need to make a poster for each.

Make sure you use your uni email when you apply. If you have any questions please get in touch.

The application form will close on the 28th, at which point we will share everyone’s posters so that the society can vote for their new committee.

📢 It’s almost AGM time again… 📢

This is your chance to get involved with running the society. There are roles for everyone so have a flick through and see which ones suit you best. There is more information about the application process and timescales to follow.

Core roles that must be filled in order for the society to run next year include: president, vice president, treasurer and inclusions officer.

You are welcome to apply to more than one role - depending on the results you can choose to pick one or stick with both of them.

It’s that time of year again… the BMSSoc Summer Ball tickets are now on sale. We will be celebrating with you all on Saturday 9th May from 7pm at the OEC.

The tickets are linked in our story but you can also find them on the SU website. They are on sale until the 20th April but grab them while you can.

Hello you lovely lot! Hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and New Years break and that exams aren’t stressing you too much. It won’t be too long until they’re all done and you can get excited for our REFRESHERS SOCIAL 🥳 on 13/2 (so you can have some well-deserved R&R before the big night 😴)!!!

It’s time to dust off your dungarees because MINIONS TONIGHT WE STEAL THE MOON 🌙 With Becca as Gru and Cam as Vector (as we found out on the freshers social they look so good in orange 😉🧡), you will be their trusty minions! 💛💙 This is a strictly BYOB event (bring your own banana ofc), no exceptions 🍌

Starting in Crookesmoor (hopefully) for some despicable fun , followed by a West Street crawl and a Leadmill Friday to finish! 🥂 (Exact route and timings will be announced in due course).

You will need to please BUY YOUR OWN LEADMILL TICKET 🎟️ if you are looking to join us in Foundry (available on leadmill website, skiddle, etc.), but you are of course welcome to join us for any part of the evening.

We’re very much looking forward to our first social of 2026 and hope to make it the biggest and best yet!!! 🎉

The grudge match returns… It’s MBB vs BMS in this year’s charity football match. Head on down to Goodwin on Thursday 11th December at 1pm to support the team and the Weston Park Cancer charity.

Charity donations will be taken at the beginning of the match by card only…

Graduate Medicine Information Session…

AnatomySoc are putting on an event for anyone interested in post graduate medicine. The evening will consist of a briefing about medicine and then mock interviews to help you with your applications.
