Whilst it’s not all about the grades, the following pupils have achieved phenomenal results today and have proven themselves as true Girls of Steel: balancing co-curricular and academic excellence, and embodying our school values of Positivity, Courage and Kindness every day.

💫Stella, one of our Eco Reps, achieved all 8s and 9s and has won the Kindness award in our end of year COTSY awards every year since she joined the Senior School - a phenomenal achievement.

💫Siloam has dedicated herself to the position of Wellbeing Rep this year as well as being a talented violinist, and was “so happy” after achieving eight 9s and one 8!

💫 Nethra achieved all 8s and 9s and is a dedicated netballer and trampolinist, also taking on the role of Deputy Form Leader this year!

💫Nousha, Cecilia, Ruby and Amba, all of whom who have been at Sheffield Girls’/Ashdell since Reception, and Milli achieved straight grade 9s! Nousha and Cecilia are both dedicated members of our senior orchestra, and Nousha is also a keen footballer and cricketer.

Nousha reflected on her relief that her hard work had paid off, commenting: “I’m really relieved to get my results, I’m really happy with them. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the teachers for all of their support and help.”

A massive congratulations again to all of our Year 11 pupils - you have done us, and yourselves, proud!

Backstage brilliance🎭

This year’s A Level Drama and Theatre Studies students have once again stolen the spotlight on Results Day - and this time it’s our technical theatre superstars’ turn to take centre stage!

🎭Violet achieved three A*s and will be heading to the University of Bristol to study Theatre and English!
🎭Evie achieved A* in Drama and Theatre Studies has a place at the prestigious conservatoire LIPA (Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts) to study Sound Technology!

As well as playing a key role in supporting younger students in the co-curricular life of the School, Evie and Violet have worked closely with our AV-extraordinaire, Mr Ramskill, and our Head of Drama, Mrs Morton, on honing their technical theatre skills and making sure our productions run like clockwork.

Co-curricular drama sits at the heart of our school, and two of our Class of 2026 have been instrumental in the Sheffield Girls’ performing arts scene throughout their time here. Their technical dedication to school productions has been second-to-none, and we are delighted to see their passion for the performing arts extend beyond the school gates as they enter their next act.

Well done Evie and Violet!

Sisters are doin’ it for themselves…👭

One of this year’s success stories is Sylvie, the fourth sister in her family to leave Sheffield Girls’ armed with a handful of incredible results.

Following in the footsteps of her sisters Suzannah (Class of 2021; Veterinary Medicine) and Stephanie and Sophie (both Class of 2024; both Medicine), Sylvie was delighted today to achieve A*A*A* and has accepted an offer to study Medicine at the University of Leicester.

This means that between them, the Radatz sisters have an incredible eight A*s, three As and one B - what an achievement.

As well as academic success, Sylvie has truly immersed herself in the life of the School. As well as pursuing extensive work experience around her subject, Sylvie is a member of the Head Girl team, an assembly leader, a weekly Junior School reading buddy, and a SHINE mentor. She is also heavily involved in co-curricular dance, running Year 7 Dance Club and dancing 5 times a week alongside her academic pursuits.

Huge well done, Sylvie!

It’s all politics…🗳️

This year’s Year 13s have felt particularly inspired to pursue courses in politics and international relations. Who knows, maybe we have a future cabinet minister or Prime Minister in our Class of 2026?

One of these students is Freya, one of our Melbournians who have been at Sheffield Girls’ since Reception. A dedicated member of our Head Girl Team and subject prefect for Politics, Freya achieved a phenomenal A*A*A* in her A Levels and has achieved a highly competitive place to study History and Politics at the University of Oxford.

Freya commented: “I’m so, so happy. If I could describe my time at Sheffield Girls’, I’d say long - but in a good way! I’ve been here 14 years, so since the beginning and it’s always been so much fun. Everyone here is so nice and they’ve been so supportive. I wouldn’t have got to where I am without them.”

Alongside Freya, eight other students in our Class of 2026 will be taking their passion for debate, diplomacy, and global change to prestigious universities including King’s College London and UCL.

From school council debates to global stage policy, we have no doubt these modern pioneers will be shaping the future of leadership. Huge congratulations to you all! 🌟👏
