Survive The Wild

Survive The Wild Survive The wild through the art of Bushcraft. Each week I'll post a new video on my YouTube channel survival skills.

Hello my name is Dan I'll a film maker by trade but for as long as I can remember I've had a massive passion about been in the outdoors and exploring the world around me. Back when I was a kid the gaming culture hadn't really tuck off and been an only child I had to entertain myself a lot of the time. Luckily for me I live right out on the very edge of the city and had great access to woodlands and open countryside. Myself and a few friends would camp out in the woods for the night and in the holidays we would stay out for a few days at a time. Unlike a lot of my friends I never stopped camping out and for me it extremely rare for me to camp at a facilitated camp site. For example a few years ago I did a 850 mile trek around the British Isles And I stayed on a camp site once throughout the trip. The ability to live and survive in the wild really comes down to having a greater understanding about the environment your in. I've spent a lot of time out in woods and moors just looking at different plants, Fungi and animals and finding out about them. You can send a lot of time just reading things in books or on the internet But really you need to get out and see the for yourself the environment there in. Once you gain this knowledge and become in tune with your environment and the things in it you then stand a good chance of surviving it then the world dose go to pot.
