KRS Education aims to help people improve and develop, providing alternate provisions with blended learning for 16-19 year olds in sport as well as adult learners. They use the Sports Premium funding through primary schools, giving a nurturing approach to children who have SEN or are otherwise struggling at school so they can communicate better while also growing and thriving throughout their education journey. KRS Education strives towards helping individuals meet personal goals from improving other skills all the way up until developing new ones that may not be thought of initially such as digital marketing due to strong interests with being online. KRS Education works with families, schools and young people to get what's best for the future of the individual

When GCSEs arent the right fit, whats the next step for your KS4 home educated teen?

Functional Skills Maths + English are nationally recognised qualifications that focus on real-life skills, with a clear route from Entry Levels through to Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4).

What we do differently:
Pre-assessment so they start at the right level
Small-group teaching with qualified teachers
Calm, practical sessions that build confidence
Work Skills Pathway (CVs, interviews, post-16 planning)

Half-day or full-day options available.

If you’re home educating a KS4 teen, you shouldn’t have to choose between “GCSE pressure” and “no qualification”.

Functional Skills Maths + English are nationally recognised and focus on real-life skills.

What we do differently:
1) Relaxed initial chat (no pressure)
2) Short pre-assessment so they start at the right level
3) Weekly structured learning in small groups
4) Regular check-ins, plus post-16 planning and work skills support

Level 2 is equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (old Grade C) and is accepted by colleges, apprenticeship providers and employers.
