Today we said goodbye to our Y6s whom we wish the very best of luck in their next chapters. We gave them a lovely send off and completed the day with a surprise ice- cream van.
We also said a very sad and special goodbye to Mr Arnold, Mr Wood and Mrs Arthur who have all played a very special and important part in our Carfield story. We wish them the very best of luck- they will be missed.

The Y5s had a brilliant day at Castleton last week despite the very hot weather.
Our Year 6s were incredible in The Lion King tonight. They were confident, colourful and full of Carfield pride.

The Reception children had a fantastic time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park today. They managed to see polar bears, tigers, giraffes and so many more! The children were brilliant and represented the school so well. They did a lot of walking and were all troopers in the heat! 🙂

Well done to these superstars who received their gold Children's University Award!
Staying up past midnight to watch England tonight is definitely not something we are encouraging for our pupils as it is far too late on a school night.
Instead, we will be replaying the match at school tomorrow so everyone can enjoy the excitement together.
Thank you to Mr Arnold and Mr Thompson for their brilliant rendition of “It’s Coming Home” and we really do hope so.
Come on England!

What a brilliant afternoon at Carfield! Today we had a very special visitor — Andy Day from CBeebies; who brought his trademark energy, humour and kindness to our school.
The joy on the pupils’ faces said it all. A huge thank you to Andy for giving our pupils a memorable experience and for celebrating their creativity, confidence and curiosity. Carfield is still buzzing!
