I’ve received an email from SCC about recalled products due to possible asbestos contamination, so clicked the link to see if the play sand I have in the sand pit for work or any other resources I have, are listed on it.
Thankfully they’re not, however, I bought a squishy capybara from the little shop in the Children’s Hospital when Mason was an inpatient over Easter (yes I named him Christopher the Capybara 😂) and it turns out he’s been recalled.
If your children have any squishy toys, or arts & crafts kits containing sand of any sort, please check this list and get rid of them asap!

For National Childminder Week 🤍
A little reminder that childminders are never “just” anything.
They are educators, nurturers, safe people, business owners, advocates, cleaners, cooks, planners, comforters and memory makers - often all in the same hour.
This week, let’s celebrate the childminder heroes who make such a difference every single day.
Tag a childminder you are grateful for below: a friend, a colleague, your own childminder, someone who inspired you, supported you, cheered you on, or simply deserves to be seen.
Let’s fill this post with appreciation for the people who give so much heart to this role 🤍

**Important notice for our families**
As we start the last week before the Christmas break, please be mindful of sending your child in to us if they are not 100% well.
We have a very busy week and there are lots and lots of nasty virus’s going around at the moment, the last thing we want is for any of our little ones to be poorly over the Christmas period, and we’d really like to enjoy our well deserved break with our own families without feeling poorly.
If your child is not 100% well enough to join in with all activities this very busy week, then please do keep them at home to protect the other children and us adults.
A constant streaming nose, persistent cough and/or fever, any sickness and/or diarrhoea, unexplained/new rashes, gunky eyes - your child should be kept at home.
As parents we understand it is difficult when you have to work and have poorly little ones, but please be respectful of our illness and infection control policy and consider the effect on other families.
Thank you 💜
