Since 2016, AESSEAL has supported over 100 female engineering students at Sheffield Hallam through its 'Women in Engineering' scholarship and bursary programme.
On Wednesday, 13 students visited AESSEAL's headquarters in Rotherham to hear from current female engineers about their career journeys and to tour the state of the art facilities.
"Listening to women in the engineering sector share their stories with our students was truly inspirational and very timely ahead of this weekâs International Womenâs Day. It is wonderful to see how the Universityâs partnership with AESSEAL is helping to unlock doors traditionally difficult for women to step through. We are very grateful for AESSEALâs continued commitment to supporting the next generation of female engineers to fulfil their potential.â - Professor Liz Mossop, Sheffield Hallam University's Vice-Chancellor

We've launched our first Hallam Fund Winter Appeal, to provide emergency financial support for some of our most vulnerable students.
For students who are care experienced or estranged from their families, this can be a difficult time of year. With the help of our alumni and supporter community, they can access emergency bursaries to pay for accommodation, food and high street vouchers. They will also receive a gift hamper and handwritten card - so they know someone is thinking about them over the festive season.
Receiving support helps students and provides vital financial aid to those who do not have a family network.
We want our students to succeed. And we want them to know they are cared for. So far, our alumni and supporter community has raised over ÂŁ12,500, which can make a difference to the lives of over 500 students.
