Y10 Work Experience Update:

Photos from Stocksbridge High School's post 16/06/2026

Up to 27 times, you've come into our Main Hall
and ticked your name off
on sheets that are in the same order every time.

You've sat in the correct seat
and been given your last minute tips and got ready for the exam.

Up to 27 times, you've gone to the Gym
to drop your bags off
and empty your pockets.

We told you that you looked cool turning your pockets inside out.
We may have been fibbing.

Up to 27 times, you've heard
"You must now follow the rules set by the examining body"
and tried your best on all your papers.

Leaving no blanks.
Answering every question.
Saying what you see for a "describe" question.

Tomorrow will be the last time
you come into our Main Hall
and sit in the correct seat.

Your time with us has drawn to a close,
and your five years of secondary education
have concluded.

You are free to venture into the big wide world
and be a grown up.

You'll know this has happened fully
when you get excited about bin day
and the sale at B&Q.

So we bid you farewell,
good luck,
and all the best

To the class of 2026.

Ps don't forget Leavers' assembly tomorrow and then Prom on Friday!

And now the end is near
And so you face the final exam
Our students, we'll say it clear
We state our case, which contains tins of spam (Rhyming isn't our strong point)
You've lived an education that's full
You've traveled each and every corridor
And more, much more than this
You did it your way ❤️

In case you didn't realise, we've re-written the lyrics to My Way by Frank Sinatra... Maybe we should stick to teaching and not give up the day job...

But guess what?

The final Y11 timetable for Tuesday 16th June...

This was the last picture we took of all our Year 11s together before their final English exam!

Once again, we are so incredibly proud of every single one of them. We knew they were going to do well… after all, it was Mrs Sherif’s birthday - clearly a sign everything was going their way! 🎉😉

But let’s just say that again… they came out buzzing after a Language Paper 2 exam!! 😲👏

What a group. What an achievement.

Well done to them all - we are so, so proud and we are going to miss them so much 💛

A huge well done to our student Leah who was on the BBC's The One Show last night in their 'One Big Thank you' segment for all of the amazing fundraising she has been doing, and continues to do!

This is an amazing achievement and well deserved recognition!

F1 mad Leah’s surprise was a tour of the Mercedes Headquarters with driver George Russell sneaking up behind her near the end! How exciting!

We are all so proud of your Leah! ❤️

If you didn't get chance to see, have a look! Catch up on iPlayer! https://bbc.in/3RQqqIj
