Just been to some amazing training at Sheffield music hub about getting Kodály based music (the approach I use) into schools.
The resources are brilliant and cover s lot of songs I use in dotty rockers and Dot2dot so I thought I would share with you to explore at home.
First Thing Music This is the home page for the First Thing Music project. This was a controlled trial in 60 primary schools in the North East of England investigating the impact of Kodály based musical activities for Year One primary classes in 60 schools September ’18 to June ’19. Hello everyone
It has got to that time of term where I put the booking sheets out (on the windowsill near the coffees) and a load of pencils for you to sign up for next term (not very high tech!).
I have also updated the website with the dates for Summer Term and uploaded the booking form with all the payments details (more high tech!). I will have hard copies of this letter to give out in class, but it is here for reference if it gets: lost, chewed, used as an emergency baby-wipe substitute!
If you would like a sneak preview please visit this link
(please note due to lots of bank holidays the fees are different depending on which day you attend!).
Timetable Summer Term Dates 2019 Weeks Commencing: 15th April - All Classes Start - No Friday Classes 22nd April - No Monday Classes - Thursday and Friday as normal 29th April - Full Timetable 6th...
I am sorry but I have made the tough decision to close tomorrow - I am really unwell and have no voice.
I will reimburse everyone (or credit for next term - whichever you prefer).
I will be emailing/texting everyone individually throughout the day but thought I’d get the news out ASAP.
I should be back to normal next week.

With weather getting colder I thought I would share my ‘snow policy’: regardless of weather the morning rocking horse groups will be OPEN (as lots of families live really close and feedback from last year was getting out the house with little ones was really important!).
The afternoon dotty rockers and after school Dot2Dot classes will close if the local schools and nurseries decide to close (as I don’t want to drag people out if they are having a ‘snow day’). I will contact by text/email to let you know my decision and fees will be credited or reimbursed.
Thanks
