Pupils listened brilliantly in assembly this morning around hot weather and water safety, and are making the most of the weather relaxing.
Please remember leggings and cycling/tight Lycra shirts are NOT allowed but plain black knee length shorts are (this can include the cooler sports types this week only). No Lycra!!!!

There is an AI post circulating on social media (Snapchat etc!) - please ignore this as school is OPEN 😄
PLEASE ensure pupils are in school - however - as shared multiple times LEGGINGS and CYCLING SHORTS are NOT permitted!

A fun event (and free!) for families tomorrow - raising money for Roundabout Homeless - an amazing Sheffield charity.

Krazy Races - Roundabout Homeless Charity Krazy Races is the UK’s leading soapbox derby, bringing adrenaline, creativity, and krazy costumes and is heading to Sheffield in 2026!

Next Saturday I (Mrs Hall) am taking on a challenge that I’m not looking forward to! 26 mile hike raising money for Alzheimer’s Society (my dad has vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s and is now in a care home). Starting at Bakewell at 6am and taking in Curbar Edge and Chatsworth it will be a long day! And in the forecast high temperatures of 27 degrees it’ll be tough!

Victoria's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society Help Victoria Hall raise money to support Alzheimer's Society

We are now pleased to be able to share details of the location of the Birley Lion Cub that was designed and painted by our wonderful students. 🦁
The winning design was by year 10 student Mudara A and painted by Y10 students Mudara A, Viyona M and Nandita; and year 8 students Mollie H, Scarlett L, Ana K and Jorja F.

Our lion cub is titled 'Unity' and represents the landscapes of Yorkshire, the preservation of nature and celebrates the diverse cultures of our school and communities. You can find our cub at Parkgate Mobility store in Crystal Peaks.

Happy Pride of Yorkshire launch! We can’t quite believe the trail is finally here! It has been an amazing journey so far and a huge thank you to all of you for your support in bringing the trail to life. I hope you all enjoy seeing the lions around the region, including your cub displayed proudly for all to see.
