Sheffield FC x The Birley Academy 🤝

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership with Sheffield FC as we explore what community building can look like when young people are put at the forefront.

Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It creates connections, builds confidence and brings people together — and we want to explore how Sheffield FC can play an even bigger role in the lives of young people across our city.

Together, we’ll be exploring new ideas around football, creativity, education and community, with young people helping to shape what comes next.

Young people at the forefront. Community at the heart. Football as the catalyst.

This is the beginning of something we hope can grow far beyond the football pitch.

Our Y11 lads were being particularly shy, but Mrs Hall needed to capture an INCREDIBLY competitive game of Top Trumps taking place over lunch. This was definitely one of the highlights of my week 🤩 (sorry lads, I know you’ll want to kill me for this!!) 🫣

This little attention seeker has been in school every day since we came back.
She has supported so many pupils (ahem, and staff!) with the start of term and had extra treats today as it was her 3 year ‘gotcha’ day from Mrs Hall picking her up from High Hopes Dog Rescue as a sad looking rescue from Bosnia (the third picture shows how much she has grown into her ears!).
I think it is fair to say she has proved her worth with our pupils and is very much a part of our school community!
Happy Gotcha Day Badger! 🐾🐾
