We’re all having so much fun at our summer school this week getting ready to perform a shortened version of the little mermaid! 🧜🏼‍♀️ 🦀
As well as being productive setting scenes and songs, yesterday we had some painting fun, painting our own set, getting a real taste of the world of musical theatre 🎭
We’re almost there! Half way through the week, we have our performance this performance this Friday! Message in the group about details if you want to come and support these kids who have worked so hard!! 🩵🤍

Well done to everyone who completed their exams last weekend! 💛
We know how stressful exams can be and we are so very proud of each and every one of our students! 🌻
Next up are our musical theatre shows in July! 💛

🌻Last Saturday at Steelpointe 🌻
We had so much fun trying to balance on one leg on our balance boards, we also practised on some turn boards to improve our spotting techniques. 💛
Sometimes things are tricky and we don’t get things straight away, but that’s okay! That’s what our teachers are there for, to help you grow and flourish as a dancer! 🤍

A tribute to our lovely Shanice.

Many of you will have known Shanice, past and present. She had a massive impact on our dance community from chaperoning to lots of behind the scenes things that she did for us.

Shanice brought so much love, passion and commitment into all that she did, she had an energy that would light up the room.
She brought comfort and reassurance to all the children she supported and made everyone around her feel safe.
She was a dab hand at the many quick changes around our shows and even with all that chaos she managed keep her composure and reassure.
Her laugh was infectious and you would find yourself laughing along with her even if you didn’t even know what she was laughing at.
Her supportive nature just came so natural to her and she was always just Shanice.
Her sense of humour was matched with her wonderful energy and sometimes the side eye glances that other adults matched to, it was our code for we’ve got this or I don’t know how we did that but we did!!
Shanice was always looking and reading the room to make sure everyone was ok.

She touched so many of our hearts on such a personal level that was unique to us, I’m not sure we will ever find the words but how lucky we will always feel having known her.
She will be forever missed here at Steelpointe.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, and friends and this unimaginable time.

Please see the go fund me link in our bio to donate if you can towards funeral costs and to support a future for her wonderful son who is also a valued member of our dance community.
