Our Year 7 and Year 8 Football Tournament will still be going ahead tomorrow as planned.
Due to the forecasted hot weather we advise all pupils taking part to take on plenty of water, bring sun cream to reapply and wear hats. We will also have hydration breaks between matches.

Our pupils have coped admirably with the weather today.
To help with the heat we have set up additional Hydration Stations. We have also re-roomed some of the lessons so pupils are in cooler classrooms. Pupils don't need to bring their blazers to school this week and ties are not being worn in classrooms.
Tomorrow we will also be delivering cold refreshments during period 5.

On Friday we held our Y11 Leavers' Assembly. It was a fantastic event where we shared memories, good luck messages and there may have been a bit of acting and singing from the staff.
We look forward to seeing you at the prom next week.
You have been a special year group and we will miss you immensely! The next time we will see you at Yewlands will be in August for Results Day.

Important reminders during the hot weather:
Pupils need to bring a refillable water bottle to school.
They will be allowed to refill their bottles before school, during breaktime, during lunchtime and after school.
In PE lessons pupils have additional access to water fountains.
