🐸 Life cycle of a frog 🐸


This afternoon we talked about the life cycle of a frog. I explained how the cycle begins with frogspawn, then to a tadpole, a froglet and then the adult frog. O was very interested in hiding the little tadpole in the plants and making me find it🙊

🥕 The Easter Bunny’s Carrot Patch 🥕


I’m not going to lie, my “soil” failed as I didn’t have enough conditioner and the brown food colouring was dried up🙈 But she enjoyed it nevertheless!❤️


O used the spade/ her hands to scoop and pour the soil. She also used the rake to make different patterns in the soil. We talked about the large, medium qnd small carrots (she already regularly uses the terms of big and little, so I wanted to encourage different vocab) I also introduced asking “which one is the largest/smallest?”🥰


All in all, O loved making me some yummy carrot cake and carrot pie👏🏼🧡

🦉 Owl Babies 🦉


Ophelia’s favourite book right now! She’s excellent at reciting the repeated phrases and anticipating what is going to happen next. I think she loves my “Bill” voice the best🥲 .


We’ve talked about how owls are nocturnal animals and they sleep in the day and wake up at night 🌙

UNO with a twist🥰 O picked out an UNO card with the colour and number on and then stamped the same amount in the matching colour to make her beautiful butterfly 🦋


She was able to recognise numbers 1-5 and count them as she was dabbing too❤️


I saw this idea on our page and thought it would be a good idea to try with O🥰

Christmas tree decorating!🎄


Both of the girls loved helping with our Christmas tree (and I’ve not even moved a single bauble!🥲). One of the main areas I want to target with O is improving her fine motor skills, so there’s nothing better than activity that doesn’t seem like we’re actually learning🤣

It’s been super cold today ❄️
So we’ve done an Arctic theme of “Save the Animals” with lots of play snow ⛄️


The girls used warm water and paintbrushes to try and rescue the arctic animals🥰
