🍂 September is nearly here!💜

We’ve been busy getting ready for the new term and I’m really pleased to have a brilliant team of fully qualified, experienced teachers ready to support your children.

One thing that’s really important to us at Conexus Tuition is that no two children are the same. Some need a confidence boost, some have gaps they need help with, some need stretching and others are starting to think seriously about exams.

Our tutors are passionate about their subjects, but just as importantly, they’re patient, nurturing and genuinely care about the children they teach.

For our older students, we’re also very exam focused. We work on subject knowledge, revision, exam technique and those all-important exam-style questions — helping students understand how to turn what they know into marks.

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m an experienced English teacher with over 20 years in the classroom, teaching KS3 and KS4 English, GCSE English Language and Literature, and A Level English Language.

I’m friendly, approachable and passionate about helping students feel more confident in English. Every student is different, so I adapt my teaching to suit their individual needs, whether that’s filling in gaps, building confidence or providing extra challenge.

For students working towards exams, my tuition is focused and purposeful, with support around exam technique, understanding questions, structuring answers, developing stronger responses and knowing what examiners are looking for.

Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building the skills and confidence they need to walk into their exams feeling prepared.

Hi! My name is Alison!💜

With nearly 30 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about helping children and young people develop confidence and achieve their potential in French and Spanish.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in French, Spanish and Education with Qualified Teacher Status, and I have worked in state education ever since.

I teach French and Spanish from beginner level through to A Level, adapting lessons to suit each individual learner. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to build their confidence, is preparing for GCSE or A Level exams, or simply wants to develop their language skills, my aim is to make lessons engaging, supportive and effective.

My love of languages goes beyond the classroom. I have lived and studied in both France and Spain, continue to visit regularly, and maintain strong connections with friends in both countries. This allows me to bring not just the language, but an understanding of the culture and everyday life into my teaching.

Above all, I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged and able to work at a pace that suits them.
