🌱 Asma achieves a Distinction!
After overcoming challenges at the beginning of her programme, Asma Aden has completed her Level 5 Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship with the highest possible grade.

The apprenticeship helped Asma rebuild her confidence, strengthen her leadership skills and take on greater responsibilities in her role as Deputy Manager at Precious Homes.

She now feels ready to continue progressing towards a registered management role.

Could your unused apprenticeship levy help strengthen the early years workforce?

For many nurseries, levy transfers are the difference between being able to invest in apprenticeships or not. With training costs increasing, access to levy funding is more important than ever.

At Kids Inc Nurseries, levy transfer funding secured through Realise has already enabled 7 practitioners to enrol on a Level 3 apprenticeship.

Abbey from Kids Inc explains:

"Levy transfers are a fantastic way for larger organisations to support smaller companies. The funding enables us to cover the cost of apprenticeship training, opening opportunities for learners to gain valuable skills, qualifications and real-world experience while helping us develop the workforce of the future."

By donating unused levy funds, larger organisations can help early years providers develop skilled practitioners, create career opportunities and support better outcomes for children.

Good news for early years employers: from 1 October, there's more support than ever to help you grow your team.

A new £2,000 SME hiring incentive joins the £1,000 already available for taking on a 16–18 year old. For a non-levy setting, those combine to £3,000 towards bringing a young person into your nursery, with their training fully funded and no employer National Insurance to pay while they're under 25.

For a sector working hard to recruit and retain qualified practitioners, that's a real opportunity to bring fresh talent in and develop your existing team - whether that's a first step at Level 2, a Level 3 practitioner or a future leader at Level 5.
