Safer sleep guidance isn’t just important – it’s lifesaving!
In the UK alone, it’s helped to save almost 32,000 babies’ lives, thanks to decades of robust, evidence-based research. We know that following this guidance significantly reduces the risk of SIDS – which is why getting it into the hands of early years professionals matters so much.
That’s exactly why we partnered with The Lullaby Trust. By combining their expertise in safer sleep with our understanding of day-to-day practice in early years settings, we’re making sure more professionals can access the training they need.
And the response? Incredible!

What are children really learning from their screens?
In our latest roundtable episode, we explore a topic that’s becoming impossible to ignore in Early Years settings. Children as young as three are confidently using mobile devices. But while their ability to navigate technology is impressive, it raises an important question:
👉 What are they actually learning from what they watch?
Join our host Laura Hodges alongside expert guests:
- Richard Waite, Early Childhood Technology & Online Safety Advisor, Waite EYTS
- Jessica McCarthy, Early Years Operations Director, T***s Nurseries
- Sam Dholakia, Founder, The Behaviour Bank
Together, they bring powerful insight from across the sector in a thought‑provoking conversation on Online Safety in Early Years.
💡 For those working in Early Years, this episode highlights growing challenges and responsibilities:
- Being mindful of the content children are exposed to
- Understanding how digital experiences influence development
- Supporting children to engage with technology in a healthy, balanced way
This is a must‑watch for anyone working with young children in today’s digital‑first world.

Recently, our team spent the day volunteering at Bradley Wood Scouts & Activity Centre, helping to maintain and improve its beautiful 60-acre grounds for local young people to enjoy for years to come.
From developing a new bushcraft area and putting up fencing, to building a new play area for the Squirrels (the youngest Scout section) 🐿️ and tackling gardening work to improve access around the site, everyone got stuck in and made a real difference.
It was a fantastic opportunity to step away from the normal day-to-day, spend time outdoors, and work together on projects that will benefit children, families and the wider community for years to come.
The day was fun, rewarding and incredibly worthwhile. We're proud to support the communities we operate in and help create spaces where young people can learn, play, explore and thrive in nature.
A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and enthusiasm - what a brilliant day! 🌱💚
