I am a private tutor of Functional Skills English, GCSE English Language and Literature and ALevel English Literature.

I have 7 years experience of working in formal education settings with young people (11-19) and adult learners as well as 4 years of private tutoring experience. I also have spent the past 4 years working as an examiner for AQA.

I have enabled many young people to achieve their target grades in English using my bespoke resources and subject specialist knowledge. My approach is friendly and informal. I place an emphasis on establishing a positive rapport with my students to create an open and positive learning environment, where they can make progress and ask questions. I work particularly well with students with anxiety who have struggled to attend school.

I can either tutor at your home, or invite you to mine, whatever is best for you. I also have experience of teaching online, if this is your preference. I have an enhanced DBS record, and can provide you with my reference number, on request. I can also provide testimonies of parents and students who have used my services.
