We know that balancing professional development alongside the demands of school life can be challenging.

Following our recent NPQ in Headship conference, we were pleased to offer a catch-up session with our NPQH facilitator, Richard Walkden - Headteacher at Ecclesfield School, for participants who were unable to attend. This ensured they could still access key learning, ask questions, and stay connected with the course.

We are committed to providing a supportive and responsive experience, doing what we can to accommodate participants wherever possible. A huge thank you to Richard for his continued dedication to current and aspiring school leaders.

Our NPQ facilitators don't just talk about leadership - they live it every day in schools. You may have spotted Richard recently on national TV discussing the under-16 social media debate following a mobile phone ban trial at his school.

Our NPQ participants benefit from learning alongside experienced leaders tackling today's educational challenges first-hand.

Interested in joining the next NPQ cohort and learning from local headteachers leading change in education? Applications open on 23 June, but you can register your interest today.

Another week, another NPQ conference!

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome our NPQ Senior Leadership participants to their first conference. It was fantastic to meet everyone in person where they spent the day learning, sharing ideas, and building connections.

The day focused on several key areas, including:
- Understanding and overcoming imposter syndrome
- Managing and leading effectively
- Assessment and data strategy

It was great to see so much engagement and participation throughout the day. Participants took part in some really valuable discussions, shared their experiences, and learned from each other. The chance to network, exchange ideas, and make new connections was a big highlight.

A huge thank you to our facilitators, Emma Jane Cooper and Nick Parker, for delivering engaging and practical sessions throughout the day. By sharing their experience and real-life examples from a local perspective, they provided participants with useful strategies and ideas that they can take back to their own settings and put into practice.

Looking to take the next step in your career? NPQ applications open on 23 June. Register your interest now and we will let you know when applications go live: https://ow.ly/ByI050W8Qeu

There are so many different subjects you can teach, from maths, art, science and PE to teaching in a primary school.

Whatever your passion, teaching gives you the opportunity to inspire young people and help build their confidence every day.

One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing that ‘spark’ moment when a student suddenly understands something new. Watching them learn and grow in a subject you are passionate about is what makes teaching such a fulfilling career.
