This week we have harvested some of our vegetables we have been growing.

Today our Rainbows and stars have enjoys homegrown cauliflower and long stemmed broccoli with their dinner and frozen yoghurt bark with our own home grown strawberries.

Rainbows and stars have had a busy week. Our vegetables have started to grow so we have planted them out in our garden. We have been talking about spring and the changes to the flowers and the trees. We looked at some tulips talked about the colours and the texture of the leaves and petals and have been learning about farm animals. We enjoyed giving our animals a bath after playing in the mud.

Today's science experiment was making our own coloured rain.
We used water with shaving foam on top then using our fine moter skills to fill pippets with coloured water and squeezed it on to the shaving foam cloud and watched it fall through to look like rain. We had so much fun we made a bigger one.

Today Rainbows and Stars enjoyed a colour mixing experiment. We explored what happens to powder paint when mixed with water. We added tissue to join the three prime colours together. The children watched in amazement as the tissue changed colour and the colours mixed to create orange,purple and green. When we asked the children what has happened they said "its made a rainbow"

This week is Science week. 🧪🔬
Today Rainbows and Stars have been exploring sinking and floating.
The children all chose an item and guessed if it would sink or float.
Then watched the item to see what would happen next.

Our rainbows and stars have been busy this week planting all our vegetables we are growing this year. We are looking forwards to watching them all grow and tasting the different vegetables.
