Parents of Year 6 children…

SATs preparation doesn't need to mean months of pressure.

The best preparation starts with finding the gaps.

What do they already understand?

Where are they losing marks?

Is it knowledge — or are they rushing?

Do they understand the question?

Do they know how to check their work?

Confidence and exam technique can make an enormous difference.

Our Year 6 SATs support focuses on exactly that.

To every student opening their results today — whatever is written on that piece of paper, it does not define you.

Some of you will be celebrating.
Some may feel disappointed.
Some will simply be relieved it’s all over.
And some might not quite know how they feel yet.

All of those reactions are completely okay.

Results matter, but they don't show the whole journey. They don't show the resilience it took to keep going, the confidence you've built, the difficult days you pushed through or everything you've learned about yourself along the way.

To all of the students we've had the privilege of supporting this year — we are incredibly proud of you. We'd LOVE to hear how you got on, so parents, please drop us a message and let us know your child's results!

And a huge thank you to the parents and carers too. You've been there through the revision, the stress, the encouragement, the wobbles and probably more than a few conversations about English quotes! Thank you for trusting us to be a small part of your child's journey.

And if today hasn't brought the result your child was hoping for, please remember that this isn't the end of the road.

We will be supporting students preparing for November GCSE English resits, and we're also welcoming new students. If your child needs some extra support to prepare, build their confidence and have another go, please drop us a message.

But for today — celebrate how far they've come.

Well done to the GCSE Class of 2026!

Thought this was important to share for anybody close to a student collecting their results together! Tomorrow is high pressure and can be rather stressful so be patient with our young people and let them take in their grades in a way that suits them🩷💙 good luck everyone!

Got a storyteller in the house?

The child who invents elaborate characters…

Writes little stories…

Creates entire imaginary worlds…

Or has AMAZING ideas but struggles to get them onto paper?

Our Home Education Creative Writing group gives children the freedom to experiment with writing without worrying about everything being perfect.

Characters.
Stories.
Description.
Dialogue.
Imagination.

HOME EDUCATION FAMILIES

Our Wednesday daytime sessions are designed especially for home-educated learners aged 8–11.

Creative Writing — Wednesdays at 11am

Make Maths Fun — Wednesdays at 1pm

Plus limited daytime 1:1 tuition.

We want these sessions to feel engaging, relaxed and completely different from simply recreating a classroom online.

Learning can be creative.
Learning can involve games.
Learning can be social.

And yes… learning can actually be FUN.

Message us if you'd like to know more about our September Home Ed options.

Things we celebrate in tutoring that aren't test scores…

Asking a question without being embarrassed.

Attempting something difficult.

Getting an answer wrong and trying again.

Reading aloud when they normally avoid it.

Realising they don't need help with something anymore.

Saying, “Can I do another one?”

Confidence comes before so much of the academic progress we want to see.

And it deserves celebrating too.

Macbeth.

An Inspector Calls.

Language Paper 1.

Language Paper 2.

Quotes.

Analysis.

Essay structures.

It can feel like A LOT.

We break it down into manageable steps and help students understand what the examiner is actually looking for.

Less “I have no idea what to write.”

More “Okay… I know how to tackle this.”

GCSE English Language & Literature support available.

Something I wish more children knew…

The fastest person in the room isn't automatically the cleverest.

Needing something explained twice doesn't mean you're bad at it.

Making mistakes doesn't mean you're behind.

And asking for help definitely doesn't mean you've failed.

Learning is messy.

That's completely normal.

Sometimes a group isn't the right environment.

That's why we also offer personalised 1:1 tuition.

Every lesson is planned around the individual student — their level, their gaps, their goals and, importantly, how they learn.

We offer both online sessions via Zoom and face-to-face tuition in Sheffield, including S35 and S6.

September availability is filling, so please get in touch if you're considering support for the new academic year.
