Today a fellow trainee and I presented our research projects to 120 professionals at the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Psychology and Psychological Therapies conference.🗣🔊

🚨 CALL FOR RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS! 🚨

Technology-assisted harmful sexual behaviour (TA-HSB) is when children and young people use the internet or other technology to engage in sexual activity that may be harmful to themselves and others. TA-HSB covers a range of behaviour including the developmentally inappropriate use of po*******hy, online sexual abuse, grooming, sexting and coercing others into sexual acts via internet-enabled devices such as mobile phones, tablets and computers.

Happy 75th birthday to our wonderful NHS! We must all continue to fight for them and the brilliant work they do. If you have noticed that I have been quiet recently, its because I have been recovering from a spinal operation under their care. Without them I would be significantly worse off and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me and for everyone else throughout the pandemic and beyond.

This also seems a good time to announce that I will be joining them in September, as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist! I absolutely cannot wait to play my part! 💖

Great to attend the TCE 'Practice Principles for responding to child exploitation and extra-familial harm' online session this morning from Research in Practice and The Children's Society. Great to see a strengths based and trauma informed approach being adopted also with a focus on and the inclusion of parents/carers. Looking forward to accessing these new resources and further updating my to reflect these! 😀
