During forest school the children spoke about different emotions - how they may look, we did lots of different facial expressions. We spoke about how these emotions may make us feel. ☺️😃😢😡

We then used some clay and natural resources to make our very own clay faces on the trees. 🌳🌱🪵🍃

The children explored the area and found their own twigs leaves. We had lots of fun!!

Pre - School enjoyed making Gruffalo crumble flapjack recently.
They measured the ingredients, spoke about how things looked, smelt and may taste.

They mixed all of the ingredients together.

After this the children read The Gruffalo story. 📖

The baking was then shared with parents.

We’re going on a bear hunt 🐻

Our Toddlers spent some time making foot prints from the bears!

Over the last few weeks over all rooms we have enjoyed lots of Christmas and winter activities!

The children have made Thanksgiving turkeys this week.
With an example the children were able to choose and use their own resources to make their own turkeys.

Today in the Toddler room we have been on a “Bear Hunt” 🐻 🌳 📚
The children explored this activity walk-in on different textures and had so much fun.
There was - long wavy grass. Thick oozy mud. A deep cold river. And a deep dark forest.
The children offered comments such as - “cold” “tickly” “wet”.
They had so much fun!
We even found a spider in the leaves! 🕷️ 🍂

This week in Toddlers the children have been focusing on comparing weights and sizes.
They have done this in a variety of ways, using water, shapes, animals and weighing vegetables.
The children have also enjoyed making their own owl babies from the story.

Pre - School have been looking at the world map for their skill of the week. They have been discussing different parts of the world and the places they have visited with their families. The children have brought in some of their family photos and have been looking at these at group time. The children have been discussing different modes of transport for getting to destinations also. ⛴️ ✈️ 🚂 🚗

Road safety week!
This week in Pre - School we are looking at ways to be safe when on the roads.
The children will be talking about road safety during group times. 🚘🚦🛣️🚸
