GCSE English Tutoring

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor who is committed to helping students reach their full potential. Since 2019, I have been working as a one-to-one English tutor across two secondary schools in South Yorkshire, but over the years I have acquired experience and expertise working within a range of educational settings. From 2009-2011, I worked as an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University whilst studying for a PhD in linguistics, and from 2016 to 2019 I worked as a full-time English teacher at a fantastic school in Doncaster where I taught both A-Level and GCSE English language and literature. In addition to my actual teaching experience, I also mark English literature scripts for Eduqas, so I have detailed knowledge of what the exam board is looking for in order to achieve anything from a basic pass to full marks for all aspects of the subject.
