The woodland next to KidZ City Nursery has the potential to become a valuable community asset, but sadly it has become a hotspot for fly-tipping, littering, antisocial behaviour and environmental damage.

Over the years, I have witnessed rubbish being dumped, human waste, drug use, abandoned fishing line harming wildlife, and even people using BB guns towards ducks and other animals. These incidents have been reported to both the police and the council on numerous occasions, yet the area continues to deteriorate.

Instead of allowing this beautiful woodland to decline further, I am asking Swale Borough Council to work with the local community to transfer this land into community stewardship so it can be protected, restored and managed for the benefit of everyone.

Our vision is to create a Community Woodland that will:

* Protect and enhance local wildlife and habitats.
* Provide opportunities for Forest School and outdoor learning for local children.
* Encourage community volunteering and environmental projects.
* Reduce antisocial behaviour through positive community use.
* Create a natural space that future generations can enjoy and care for.

This would not be a private development or commercial venture. The woodland would remain a community space, managed for the benefit of local residents, children, schools and wildlife.

By signing this petition, you are asking Swale Borough Council to meet with local residents and community representatives to explore transferring the woodland into community stewardship and to work together to secure its long-term protection.

Together, we can turn a neglected woodland into a place our community can be proud of.
