This Christmas, our School Council have kindly chosen the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as a charity that they would like to raise money for. Key Stage 2 children have volunteered their time to make Christmas crafts which will be available to purchase at our Christmas Fair this Saturday for small cash donations.
The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital do fantastic work and were chosen by our school council as an inspirational charity. If you would like to support our school council and RMCH further or are unable to attend the Christmas Fair, we have set up a JustGiving page to collect donations as a school. Autumn fun in Early Years 🍁

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
The word unique is often misused- it means “ being the only one of its kind or “ unlike anything else”. Her Majesty The Queen was truly unique.
Rest in Peace. ❤️

We were thrilled to receive this thank you from Maggie’s charity today.
The donation was a result of the efforts of the Year 6 class last term. Thank you for supporting the Y6 Enterprise Fair and helping raise money for such a worth while cause. Well done to our past Year 6 class for a successful Enterprise project and their kindness and generosity. A fantastic legacy to leave from your time here at Farrowdale.
We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow for a new and exciting academic year.
Good luck to our Year 6 Leavers, who begin their new chapter at High School. We will be thinking of you all.

Congratulations to all of our past pupils who have recently received A level and GCSE results. We are proud of your achievements which have included both grade A’s in A levels and grade 9’s in GCSE. Thank you for sharing your success stories with us and we wish you all success in your future studies.

World Book Day 2022

This afternoon, Year 3 and 4 explored different recipes as part of Fairtrade Fortnight. We made lemonade, brownies and banana bread muffins using different Fairtrade ingredients.

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, Year 3 and 4 have learnt about the hardworking farmers who produce foods like bananas, sugar, chocolate and coffee. To reflect this, Year 3 and 4 used their hands to recreate the Fairtrade logo.

This week it was mental health week and the theme was growing together. In Year 5&6, we looked at different aspects of emotional growth and what this meant to us.
We identified members of our support network and created some hot air balloon artwork to represent these. We also listed methods that we use to relax and remain calm if we feel stressed or emotional to cover our box of feelings in class.
