The Maths Tutor and Movement Coach - Mathematics Tuition

So pleased for all the year 13s and year 10s who did so well this year in their A Level Maths and GCSE Statistics exams and worked their absolute socks off. Big shout out to Olivia, Daisy, Willow and Charlotte for your GCSE Maths or Statistics results too 🌟 So proud of you girls, you all did absolutely amazing and I’ve really enjoyed tutoring you the past school year. Now about to enjoy my last little holiday break before we do it all again in September 🙂

As it’s the new school year, I have availability again to take on new students for maths tutoring. If you want to get started I am here for you📍

✅ I teach students of all ages, usually from KS2 up to Further Maths A Level, but also adults who need Functional Skills Maths for their jobs
✅ I have made academic achievement as accessible as possible, which enables me to help more students excel. Every student learns differently and so I provide 1 to 1 maths tuition as well as small group tutoring sessions, both of which can be in person or online
✅ I will help identify gaps in subject knowledge from previous school years and fill those gaps to develop the skills and confidence a student needs to reach their true potential in maths

Some students ask me why I say it’s important to make sure that their work is neat and tidy. Imagine if you were the person marking a tall pile of exam papers. If you were marking a paper and saw unorganised working out and handwriting that was scribbled, would you give your time trying to work out what order the student worked things out in? No examiner would and they will just assume you don’t have an understanding of the question and move on to mark the next one. Handwriting and organisation is king 👑

With A Level and GCSE results now received, I really do hope you got the grades you wanted and deserved. If however you are unhappy with your grades and you will be taking GCSE or A Level exam resits in Autumn/Winter this year, I will be here for you if you do need tutoring or if you need to talk about your results or anything else.

To all of you who applied, I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to do so, for sharing with me and for being so brave and open with your thoughts and feelings. Having this kind of information gives me a better understanding and makes me better equipped to be able to think more about the things that need to change and the ways in which I can help to make a difference.

Tutoring is a rewarding job in itself, but I love seeing students’ confidence with their maths grow like I have done with Harry. I also find it so rewarding to see them have those lightbulb moments and realise they have finally understood a mathematical concept or solved a problem and they’re so proud of themselves. It’s these kinds of things that really make what I do worth while.
