ssional childcare practitioners split across our two rooms who pride themselves on the happiness and engagement of both the children we care for and their families. We provide a caring provision which engages, promotes curiosity and active learning through play for the children in our care. At Little Explorers we aim for excellence and constantly reflect on the practice we provide and ways we can improve. We welcome a strong partnership with the parent/carers of the children and respect their views, interests, opinions and suggestions as their child's first educator. Early years from 0-5 are the most important years of a child's life and at Little Explorers we do all we can to encourage, care, provide, challenge and support the children to become the best that they can. We encourage and support each individual child's interests and promote a child centred approach to the activities and resources we provide each day. We embed basic British values such as respect, tolerance and individual liberty as well as encouragement, love and support. We explore the world around us with the children as well as the communities we live in by celebrating many different festivals and celebrations by many different cultures and supporting local and national charities. Children in our setting thrive and they can confidently feel they are cared for, respected and valued by all staff. We understand how difficult it can be for parents/carers to leave their children in someone else's care and because of this we operate a key person policy within the setting. This ensures that each child has a key adult that takes the main role in caring for them and being the main base of contact for their family at the setting. This practitioner is supported by a secondary keyperson who will fill this role should the main keyperson be out of the setting at any point. As well as this we work hard to ensure all of the children are happy, settled and comfortable with all of the practitioners to ensure they have a successful time at the setting and their parents/carers know that their children are safe and happy at the setting.
