Introducing our new Heads of Boarding, Preet Bachra and Nicola Daubeney, who take up their joint leadership roles this term. Both are highly experienced in both prep and senior school pastoral care in boarding schools, with Nicola previously Deputy Head Pastoral at Godolphin School and Preet Pastoral Deputy at Bryanston School.
With over 70% of our prep school children boarding in some form - ranging from full 7 day a week boarding to new ‘local’ 2,3 and 4 night boarding options for day pupils, as The Good Schools Guide says ‘Boarding is in the Port Regis DNA’.
A boarding school structure enables all children, whether boarders or day pupils, to benefit from a breadth of extra curricular options through a longer school day and a jam packed programme of activities and learning experiences through evenings and at weekends. Port Regis is a close knit, supportive family community with a global outlook with pupils from over a dozen nationalities from across the world through our boarding environment.
Nicola and Preet can’t wait to welcome pupils back for the new school year, saying:
“There is a magic and a joy of connection and development uniquely found in the boarding environment. We are excited to lead the boarding team and to listening, learning and developing the exceptional boarding experience at Port Regis.”
Families are warmly invited to come and meet Preet and Nicola at the next Whole School Open Morning on Friday 2nd October.
