⭐️ So that's it! The end of an era. Little stars is no more. But I have the best memories from the last 10 years and I will be forever grateful for each and every one of them ⭐️ Its been a rollercoaster of emotions at times but I have had my rock Nat Nat there to ride it with me! Thank you Nat Nat!!! Little stars would not have been what it was without you ⭐️ And also Michelle, I know you didn't finish the whole journey with me but you started it and were very much part of the little stars family ⭐️️ And Becky in the early days you brightened our mornings each day, always brought a smile to our faces ⭐️
⭐️ I must not forget my amazing mum 'granny hev' always there to help when needed and a surrogate granny to all of the little stars!! ⭐️ Thank you to 'grandad Pete' for keeping us in constant supply of ice lollies and sweets ⭐️ And finally Dean, the little stars beloved Dean!! They all love you, even though you didn't have to put in the hard graft you have always been their favourite!! ⭐️
Thank you everyone who has supported me, I appreciate all of you ⭐️

Hi guys, sorry I have been quiet on here this last week, my house has needed some serious TLC and that has taken over, plus the home learning and a very inquisitive (or annoying as her older brother and sister would say) toddler! So sorry for that.
Obviously its half term next week and I am sure you will have some plans but if you are stuck for some ideas then why dont you pick a story and think of some activities that link to it. For example, the very hungry caterpillar, you could make a fruit salad and try all the fruit from the story, make some caterpillars (I will post some pics for you to try) make a beautiful butterfly, do some counting games. Think about how the story starts, what happens in the middle and how it ends. There is so much you can do and an activity a day will fill your week!
I hope you are all ok, I love receiving your pictures and videos, Arthur sent me a picture of him and a very beautiful safari picture, Francesca sent me a fantastic video of her counting! Cara has sent me a lovely video of her singing! So please keep them coming! You are all doing so well, I am so very proud of you all ###

Hi everyone, I stumbled across this great little website. For those starting school there is a good little checklist for you to practice at home. Most of these things I know they can all do but it will be great to practice more to make sure they havent forgotten and to polish up those skills.....
https://www.thetoddleractivityguide.com/ready-for-school
For everyone else try some messy play today, shaving foam, cooked pasta, flour and water or cornflour and water. All are great fun and help us to explore different textures and test our senses. You can put anything in with it, try putting different shapes in there, numbers, letters or everyday objects from around the home, spoons and bowls are great too, the children will love scooping and filling the bowls.
Have a lovely day everyone x

- Can they write their own name? If so then great (but please do not teach them to write it in block capitals) If not, then don't worry but a little practice never hurt.

No tasks today, just a poem I have pinned up on my playroom wall........

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd finger-paint more and point the finger less.
I'd do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would take care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious and seriously play.
I'd run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd build self esteem first, and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power and more about the power of love.....Author unknown.
I like the message it sends and I hope you do too. Take care, stay safe. Lots of love ###

Good morning, it's a new week and the sun is shining!!!
I have attached some easy to replicate at home fine motor skills activities. I hope you can try some of these today.
All of these activities can be linked to early maths, so do some counting with them, sorting and colour recognition. You can compare lengths and heights and make different shapes. All great for school readiness and to develop those maths and fine motor skills which help with early writing too.
I hope you are all well and please remember I am always at the end of a message or phonecall if you need anything.
Big loves, Roxy xx

Morning little stars!! How is everyone?? I hope you are all well.
The sky is blue today, so lovely to have a bright sunny day again. So get outside today and do some water play, bubbly water is lots of fun to play with and if you have some sponges at home maybe you could link your water play with washing your garden toys, it's not only helpful for your parents but it helps build up muscles in your arms and works on those gross motor skills, a win, win I would say 😉!!
If you have some paint brushes and a wall or patio in your garden then you can practice your mark making skills with your water too, can you write your name with the water or draw a picture of yourself?
You could practice your throwing and catching skills today with a ball, ball games are fun and great for hand eye coordination.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing. Love Roxy xx
