Aadya, from here at Knole, was incredibly lucky to have played at the iconic Lord’s Main Ground in the MCC National U17 Tournament Final on 5th September 2026, representing the MCC Kent West U17 Hub against the MCC Bradford U17 Hub.
What made this achievement even more special was that Aadya was called up to the U17 team midway through the season, despite being just 13 years old, and this was only her second year of playing cricket. 🏏✨
Aadya played a vital part in the Kent West U17 Hub, who won their MCC National U17 semi-final against the three-time defending champions, MCC Guildford Hub. With 32 teams from across the country competing in this knockout tournament, reaching the final was an incredible achievement in itself.
And then came the dream day at Lord’s…
Aadya had the privilege of:
• Playing on the Lord’s Centre Pitch
• Sitting in the famous Lord’s Balcony
• Using the same changing rooms used by international players
• Having lunch in the Lord’s Pavilion
• Walking through the iconic Long Room on the way to the Centre Pitch
From starting her cricket journey only two years ago to playing an MCC National U17 final at Lord’s at just 13, what an extraordinary experience and something she will hopefully cherish for the rest of her life.
Well done Aadya! Keep believing, keep learning and keep enjoying the game. 🏏
