Open to St Lawrence families, alumni and their friends and families. We don’t expect tickets to sell out as quickly as Folking in the Strawberries but we do hope there will be lots of interest so get your tickets quick!

Anna’s amazing fundraising efforts

Thank you to everyone who helped me beat my target amount and have raised £1462. I’m very excited that I will be able to see all pupils use the new equipment that I have raised the money for.

I’m very proud of myself for taking on the challenge of the Hever triathlon. For my age group (9-10) this included a 200-metre swim in Hever Castle Lake, a 4.8 km cycle and a 1.3 km run which I managed to do in 57 minutes.

The hardest bit was the swim in the lake which was 16 degrees. I had a stitch coming out of the water and couldn’t feel my hands or my feet on the first part of the cycle! The rest was lots of fun and I enjoyed all the sweet treats waiting at the finish line for all the competitors.

Please support Anna who has just turned 10 and is doing her first ever triathlon at Hever Castle this Saturday. This event is often completed as a relay but she is doing all three back-to-back disciplines by herself so please get behind her and help her raise funds for some exciting PE and play equipment for the field….

….even if she has to walk some of it, as long as she completes it, we should be good. The practice around Chipstead last night went well so fingers crossed.

Dear Friends of St Lawrence,

As you are all aware, Mrs Saunders will be moving on at the end of this term to fulfil many other adventures in her retirement.

Although she would like to go without any fuss, we feel it is only appropriate that she has a little send off, to mark all the amazing work she has carried out at St Lawrence over the last 2 decades.

So, we have decided to have an informal afternoon pic-nic on the field where you can bring along what ever you would like to eat and we can all celebrate Mrs Saunders.
