What a fantastic day of sport, teamwork and determination at our Prep School Sports Day. From sprints and relays to field events and house cheering, every pupil gave their all and embodied the Radnor values of perseverance, courage and excellence.

🏊‍♀️ Two swimmers. Two national finalists. One fantastic achievement.

Congratulations to Isabelle (Y8) and Beatrice (Y7),who competed at the IAPS National Swimming Finals at the London Aquatics Centre.

Beatrice secured a top-10 national finish in the U12 50m Breaststroke, while Isabelle produced a superb swim to finish 4th, missing bronze by just 0.08 seconds and improving on last year's result.

We are incredibly proud of the perseverance, commitment and excellence both girls demonstrated on the national stage.

Well done, Isabelle and Beatrice! 👏

🔬🤖 Exploring future STEM pathways

A group of Year 9 students recently attended a STEM Challenge Day at the University of Greenwich, taking part in hands-on activities spanning robotics, engineering, medicine and computer science.

The experience offered a valuable insight into university study while helping students develop teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

A fantastic opportunity to broaden horizons and explore future possibilities.

We are incredibly proud of Radnor Prep pupil Jack, who is currently making his professional West End debut in Inter Alia at alongside Olivier Award-winning actress.

Following a sold-out run at the National Theatre, the acclaimed production has transferred to the West End, where Jack performs the role of Young Harry across the show’s eight weekly performances.

Many in our school community will remember Jack’s wonderful performance as Prince Charming in last year’s Prep production of Snow White, and we are delighted to see his passion for theatre continuing to flourish on the professional stage.

Bravo, Jack - we look forward to following your continued success both on and off the stage! 👏

It was a fantastic to see such a strong attendance of senior school students for an inspiring talk from real-life NASA engineer, who has worked on 10 space missions engineering rocket propulsion systems 🚀

Students were fascinated to learn about how rockets work, the incredible speeds they travel at, and the importance of mathematical projections and accuracy in space exploration. They also had the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions about careers in the space industry and the pathways into engineering and science.

It was an amazing and inspirational experience that sparked genuine excitement about the future of space exploration and STEM careers. We are hugely grateful to Yiangos for sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation 🌍️

🏆 National Champions 🏆

We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 debating team, who have been crowned winners of the IAPS National Debating Competition after competing against some of the strongest debating schools in the country.

The team demonstrated exceptional confidence, critical thinking, teamwork and intellectual agility throughout the competition and into the final. Judges praised their persuasive delivery, clarity of argument and ability to think on their feet under pressure.

Mr Paton, Head of Radnor House Sevenoaks, said:
“This was an incredibly high-standard competition against some of the top schools in the country. The team showed maturity, intelligence and composure throughout.”

This remarkable national success reflects not only the students’ hard work and dedication, but also Radnor’s commitment to developing articulate communicators, critical thinkers and intellectually curious young people who can express ideas with confidence.
