A small class last night, with just two students on the mats.

At the request of one of my students, we looked at countering Omote Gyaku using Ichimonji no Kamae, which Hatsumi Sensei showed at the 1990 Dai Komyosai, which was also my first trip to Japan 36 years ago.

We also looked at countering Ura Gyaku, by using the restrained hand as a static point to move around, rather than trying to forcibly move it. Lots of interesting stuff in there.

A small class last night, with just two students on the mats.

We started with a look at the San Shin no Kata, in order to improve one of our students technique, which provided noticeable improvement.

We then went over one of the techniques I done last Sunday.

It was also pleased to been able to present Steve Rodgers with his certificate for his new grade of 13th Dan.

Good work by both students, and thanks for being able to attend class.
