Solefield School Holiday Camps return for the final two weeks of the holidays, with plenty of opportunities for rugby, football and cricket — whether you’re looking for some preseason preparation, an end-of-season boost, or simply a fun few days of sport and activity.

Join us tomorrow for our Old School Sports Day as we round off two fantastic weeks of Solefield School Holiday Camps!

Get ready for an afternoon packed with fun, laughter, and all the classic races and games everyone loves. We might even rope the teachers in too!

What a fantastic first week of FunZone Summer Camps!

Our campers have been making the most of the great outdoors with a packed week of activities, including 🏹 archery, 🏏 cricket, 🥅 nets practice, ⚽ football tournaments, and lots of excitement during our floor is lava team-building races!

A wonderful celebration of achievement, character and community at our Prize Giving on Saturday.

We were delighted to welcome back notable Solefield alumnus, actor and singer, Jerome Flynn (Class of 1974), whose inspiring message reflected our values of Value Yourself, Value Others and Value Our World.

Headmistress Mrs McClure reflected on the year as a great adventure, reminding pupils that success is about far more than awards – it is about developing confidence, character and resilience. Her message to pupils was simple but powerful: “You already have everything you need. You know how to try. You know how to be kind. You know how to keep going.”

A special mention also to Head Boy Josh for his heartfelt speech, and congratulations to all our prize winners and leavers on a fantastic year.

We wish all our leavers every success as they begin their next adventure.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Sports Coach to join our dynamic Sports Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented coach who is passionate about inspiring young people, nurturing a lifelong love of sport and contributing to the vibrant co-curricular life of the school. A specialism in football is highly desirable, although applicants with strengths in other major school sports are also encouraged to apply.

On Friday, Year 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic day at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens for our end-of-year summer trip!

The children enjoyed a magical scavenger hunt through the Hidden Garden, searching for fairy capes, elf hats, dragon claws, and a goblin's necklace. After a delicious picnic lunch, they rounded off the day by exploring the maze and having lots of fun in the adventure playground.

It was a wonderful day filled with adventure, imagination, and plenty of smiles!
