A huge thank you to all of our parents and families who came along to support our Sports Day today.
Your cheers, smiles and encouragement meant so much to the children.
Most importantly, a massive well done to every single one of our amazing children. They all took part with such enthusiasm, determination and lots of smiles, and we couldn't be prouder of you. 🌟🏅

🌞 We've been making the most of the sunshine this week while keeping everyone safe and as comfortable as possible. We've spent time outdoors during the coolest parts of the day, enjoyed lots of water play, ice play and other fun activities to help us to stay cool.
You may have noticed there aren't many photos this week. That's simply because many of these activities are best enjoyed in less clothes or even just nappies, and safeguarding always comes first. We take our children's privacy seriously, so we'd much rather miss a photo opportunity than compromise their dignity.

Rest assured, there have been plenty of smiles, laughter and happy memories made! 💛

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful dads, (and some mums too) who joined us for our Father's Day Breakfast! 💙

It was a lovely morning filled with pastries, delicious bacon rolls, plenty of smiles and lots of special moments together. From sharing stories and building amazing creations to splashing about in the water play, there was something for everyone to enjoy across all of our rooms.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to make memories with your little ones. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

🐥✨ THEY’VE HATCHED ✨🐥
The ducklings have hatched at Little Treacles Nursery, and the excitement levels have been high!
Today, the children had the opportunity to very gently stroke and cuddle the ducklings whilst learning all about being calm, kind and caring around animals. The care and gentleness they showed was absolutely beautiful to watch. 💛
There have already been so many wonderful conversations about:
🪶 Their fluffy feathers
🐥 Their tiny quacks
🥚 How they hatched
💦 What ducklings need to grow
💩 And, very importantly, according to the children… where their poo comes out of. 😂
Moments like this create real awe and wonder within early years learning, giving children the opportunity to experience curiosity, excitement, empathy and discovery first-hand. Watching their faces light up today has been truly magical. ✨

🐣✨ SPECIAL DELIVERY ✨🐣
Our duck eggs arrived at Little Treacles Nursery yesterday and have been keeping warm in the incubator.
The children were fascinated, watching them being carefully set up and talking about what might be happening inside the eggs. They even got to see the first one start to hatch earlier today! 🐣
Over the next few days, we’ll be:
🥚 Observing changes
🔍 Developing investigation and observation skills
🗣️ Building new language and vocabulary
🔢 Counting and comparing
💛 Learning about care, life cycles and living things

The egg-citement levels amongst both children AND staff are already through the roof. 😂
Now we wait patiently for tiny quacks… 🐥
